The only offline payment that will be permitted will be for travel team tryout sessions for skaters who will not be participating in spring ice session.
FAHA is completely operated by many dedicated volunteer board members, coaches, and family members. We are also growing as an organization and need as many volunteers as possible to sustain and continue growing the program for our local kids to enjoy the game of hockey. This year we are introducing DIBS as our method of coordinating all the volunteer efforts. There will be several DIBS sessions for families to choose from and many different opportunities throughout the hockey season. Each skater family will need to complete a minimum number of credit hours to fulfill the volunteer commitment. If a family member chooses to not volunteer and buy out their allotment of credit hours they can do that for $10 per credit hour. The commitments are as follows:
Squirt Level and Above = 15 credit hours minimum
Mite and Mini Mite = 7 credit hours minimum
If a family has more than one skater in FAHA they will only need to fulfill the 15 or 7 credit hour minimum once. It is not cumulative per skater in each family. This is for the entire 2016-2017 hockey season. There will be many opportunities to help such as scoresheet, timeclock, 50/50 raffle, golf outing, team manager, etc. The website will be updated as we get these opportunities are identified.
This program is modeled from other youth hockey organizations. The intent is not to increase fees but to keep the organization growing and successful and volunteer time is critical for that. Each skater family will also be able to track their volunteer hours online.
You will find the DIBS tab to the far right on the home page of the FAHA website.
The 2017-2018 Season Registration is the beginning of the new season. This registration allows your child to skate for the Spring Ice Sessions starting the first week of May. The commitment fee will then be applied to the fall/winter season (aka 2017-2018 Season Play when available in the fall). When signing up your player please select the level of play that your child will be skating at for the next season. To determine the required level of play for your child the birth years for the level of play are listed next to the selectable options. For new skaters or skaters continuing the Initiation Program the fees are for the Spring Ice session only and you can select the Initiation Program level of play. As previously mentioned, there will be a 2017-2018 Season Play Registration similar to last year for the regular season/league play and will be available in the late summer or early fall so please check back and also watch for an email notification.
Each Player must register first with USA Hockey and then return to this Registration Session to signup for the 2017-2018 Season.
